Introduction
Provide reliable short-term continuity for the Master Data function during maternity leave by ensuring that approved product information is complete, accurately coded, correctly priced, maintained in SAP and Airtable, and supplied to customers and internal teams for product listings and commercial launch readiness. The temporary role is operational and data-control focused. It is responsible for accurate processing, record maintenance, follow-up and exception escalation; it does not own product strategy, pricing approval or trade marketing activity.
Job description

Master data and code processing

•     Validate source data. Review Airtable records, approved product information and technical attributes for completeness and accuracy before processing. Follow up on missing, inconsistent or changing information and do not release incomplete records.

•     Create and maintain codes. Create, extend and maintain SAP material or product codes using the approved naming, classification, unit-of-measure and attribute standards.

•     Process lifecycle changes. Complete approved code amendments, customer code mapping, product blocking and unblocking, status changes, discontinuations and other lifecycle updates accurately and within agreed turnaround times.

•     Maintain data integrity. Ensure the same approved information is reflected consistently across SAP, Airtable, controlled code lists and relevant customer-facing data records.

•     Control requests and evidence. Maintain a clear request log showing the requester, information received, approval status, processing date, outstanding items and completion evidence.

Pricing and SAP data administration

•     Load approved pricing. Load only pricing, customer deals and intercompany updates that have been formally approved, retaining the supporting approval and effective date.

•     Apply effective dates correctly. Process approved price changes by the required effective date and verify that the correct condition, customer or product record has been updated.

•     Reconcile pricing records. Compare SAP pricing, Airtable information and controlled price lists, investigate differences and correct or escalate exceptions.

•     Protect approval boundaries. The role does not recommend or approve pricing. Product positioning and pricing recommendations remain with management, and final approval must be provided by the authorised pricing approver.

•     Support SAP issue resolution. Work with IT and relevant stakeholders to resolve access, workflow, master-data or pricing errors, while keeping an audit trail of issues and corrective action.

Airtable and product-data maintenance

•     Update product records. Maintain approved product characteristics, code status, pricing status, listing progress and other agreed master-data fields in Airtable.

•     Monitor completeness. Identify incomplete product records and coordinate with Product Development, factories, laboratories or other data owners to obtain verified information.

•     Align systems. Regularly compare Airtable and SAP records and correct or escalate mismatches so that users work from consistent product information.

•     Maintain traceability. Record key changes, approvals, outstanding dependencies and completion dates in the agreed control fields or registers.

Customer listings and commercial launch support

•     Prepare listing information. Complete or support customer product-listing forms with accurate product codes, descriptions, dimensions, pack information, pricing references and other available approved master data.

•     Manage code mapping. Maintain and communicate mappings between internal SAP codes and customer product codes, retaining customer confirmation where applicable.

•     Coordinate data requirements. Maintain a current view of customer templates and listing requirements and follow up with internal owners for any missing approved information or launch assets.

•     Support launch readiness. Track master-data and listing components for new product launches, flag exceptions early and confirm that required data actions are complete by the agreed launch gate.

•     Prevent data-related delays. Escalate known omissions, approval delays or system issues that may prevent a product from being listed, ordered, invoiced or launched correctly.

Data quality, controls and reporting

•     Perform routine checks. Complete regular sample checks and reconciliations across SAP, Airtable, price lists, listing registers and code maps.

•     Manage exceptions. Maintain an exception log, identify recurring causes and provide concise status updates on overdue, blocked or high-risk requests.

•     Follow documented procedures. Use the approved validation checklist, pricing approval log, request register and relevant standard operating procedures.

•     Support continuity and handover. Keep process notes current, document unusual cases and provide a structured handover at the end of the temporary assignment.

•     Protect confidentiality. Handle pricing, customer and product information responsibly and in line with company access and confidentiality requirements.

Minimum requirements

  • Education

    • Relevant diploma, certificate or post-school qualification in business administration, supply chain, information management, commerce or a related field is advantageous.

    Experience

    • Practical experience in master data, product data, sales administration, pricing administration, customer listings or a comparable data-processing role.

    Systems

    • Working experience with an ERP system is required. SAP material-master or pricing experience is strongly preferred. Airtable or similar workflow/database experience is advantageous.

    Excel and administration

    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and disciplined record keeping, reconciliation and document control.

    Language and communication

Clear written and verbal communication, with the confidence to follow up, query incomplete requests and explain data requirements.
