Introduction
This position must manage the full Human Capital function for Ezee Tile and Silica Quartz as well as the payroll of 220 employees across 5 factories in South Africa. As the payroll is currently running off Pay Space, this incumbent must have a working knowledge of this system. They would need to have worked with overtime, set up clocking devices, understand setting up of benefits, etc. This position requires a highly efficient individual that will support and drive the Ezee Tile Culture and Values.
Job description

·        Ezee Tile & Silica Quartz is a unionised environment, and the incumbent will need to manage the IR environment coupled with knowledge of our legislation

·        Have experience in dealing with the Bargaining Council

·        Have a sound understanding of the BCEA

·        Assist the business in drafting warnings, suspension notices and notices of disciplinary hearings and keeping record of these

·        Responsible for the L&D platform which includes reporting on WSP and ATR

·        Assist with EE data collection, reporting and yearly submissions

·        Maintain and consolidate information on skills development for BEE purposes.

·        Setting up the necessary training interventions

·        Bringing in Apprentices, Learners, Interns into the business and ensuring that their POEs are managed effectively and we absorb our Learners

·        Ensure shifts, overtime and employment contracts conforms to the Labour Relations Act

·        Regularly checking leave schedules and ensuring leave records are correct and up to date

·        Must be able to do the twice-yearly employer tax reconciliations, issue IRP5’s, run dummy payslips, do COID returns and manage 3rd party payments

·        Issuing certificates of service and UIF forms

·        Be available to assist the workforce with any related HC issues raised

·        Manage the employee Wellness portfolio and scheduling employee wellness days

Minimum requirements

·        Bachelor’s degree in HR essential

·        Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing, or production environment

·        Sound payroll experience of /- 5 years managing shift systems

·        Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with factory staff

·        Proficiency in using software tools (Microsoft Word, Excel. etc.)

·        Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously

·        Problem-solving aptitude with the ability to make good decisions under pressure

·        Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards

·        Must be a team player

·        Be willing to work overtime when required
