We are seeking a highly motivated Learning and Development Manager to join our CTM team. You will be responsible for creating the learning and development roadmap for the brand as well as delivering training aligned to the brand’s operational objectives.
This individual will drive learning program design, development, delivery and evaluation, ensuring they meet the organisation's current and future competence needs. Ultimately, this role supports the CTM team to foster a culture of competence development, performance and continuous learning.
Core strategic requirements of the role include:
- Partner with CTM leadership, suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop training content and continuously improve on our employee workbook.
- Contribute to the formalized development programs through structured content development and targeted training interventions to strengthen leadership pipeline growth
- Mentor candidates on the Future Leader Program (FLP) to ensure effective succession planning. Attain and maintain desired cover ratio.
- Provide structured mentorship to newly appointed Trainee Managers during their first 6 months in the role.
- Conduct skills gap assessments across the brand to identify development needs and training priorities.
- Coordinate and deliver Induction program
- Together with Group Human Capital partners, manage and coordinate 3rd party training providers to ensure suitability and delivery of training
- Deliver face-to-face Learning and Development initiatives across Company-Owned and Franchise regions, including:
· SAP Training
· Display, Operational and Merchandising principles
· Toxic/Aged Stock management and processes
· BI Dashboard Reporting
· Income Statement Training
· Health and Safety (Work Trainer)
· CTM values and Red Warrior principles
· KPI understanding and tracking
· Floor Walk coaching
· Collaborate with suppliers to facilitate in-store and online product training
Minimum requirements
Minimum Requirements:
ESSENTIAL:
· Tertiary qualification in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
· A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a L&D specialist in a similar role
· Strong knowledge of the South African skills development and BBBEE legislation, policies and reporting landscape
· Proficiency in learning management platforms and e-learning tools and the integration thereof
ADVANTAGEOUS:
· ODETDP Diploma and Registered SDF
· Previous experience in the Retail industry
· Previous experience in creating and maintaining training material
